the tooth news
Teething is the universal solvent of infant ambiguity: if your baby is grumpy, screamy, sleepless, or otherwise uncooperative, it's probably about teething. This is as good an answer as any -- who knows what's going on -- but it's become something of a joke in the Bean house, because although there has been a fair amount of grumpy, screamy, sleepless, and uncooperative, there have only ever been two teeth lo these twelve months and more. Some of us had resigned ourselves to having a child who only ever had two teeth.
So it was with some perhaps unnecessary surprise that we discovered yesterday morning two jagged white slits in Isaiah's upper gum, directly above the two extant teeth. He was clickety-clacking them all day.
