walkies

Obviously it's nowhere near spring yet, but winter is sputtering a bit. It's walking weather, but the melting ice creates lakes where the sidewalks end. It makes it a bit perilous for five-foot-tall girls to walk with strollers: either the girl or the baby is likely to drown. On the other hand, it still seems a little cold to just carry I in the baby backpack. So A is experimenting with baby backpack plus: a big rain jacket zipped halfway up over Isaiah's double-layer-dressed body, and a warm scarf wrapped around his top. Plus a gorgeous hat that Emily just sent him.

He seemed to like it. His eyes were wide wide wide as we were walking around -- who knows how far he can actually see at this point, but he clearly knows something is going on. And then after a couple of blocks he fell sound asleep. He seems to like being both outside and inside: head up, in the air, looking around, but body still clinging to the body that is carrying him.
