Bathtime

We're not very good at remembering to clean the child. (After all, you want to preserve his natural oils. Right? Also, there's the whole accusatory screaming thing. And our clumsiness.) But eventually he starts shedding dust mites, which just looks bad:

He's liked bathing more since we started steaming up the bathroom for five minutes beforehand. (In Lancaster we turned on the sauna briefly beforehand and put his infant tub on the cedar seat. He liked that. He's no fool.) Yesterday he very patiently sat through the bath with an expression, half-visible below, that seemed to say, Things are going to go very, very bad any minute now. But for the first time, he held his cries until he was out. In short, getting wet's getting easier; now we'll work on getting dry.
